Your screen stays on your Mac
Duoble uses screen access to draw a live visual effect on your built-in display as the lid moves. Screen frames are processed locally in memory. Duoble does not save screen recordings, upload screen content, or share it with anyone.
Duoble does not capture microphone or system audio. The optional opening sound is playback only.
Lid readings and preferences
Lid angle readings are used locally to control the effect. Duoble does not send them off your Mac or retain a history of your movements.
Duoble saves preferences such as your effect style, clear angle, sound choice, and settings pane on your Mac. These preferences are not sent to us. Launch at login is managed by macOS only when you enable it.
No tracking or accounts
Duoble has no accounts, advertising, analytics service, tracking SDKs, or developer-operated cloud service. The app does not sell or share personal data.
Apple handles App Store purchases and may process store, billing, or diagnostic information under Apple’s own privacy policy and your system settings.
You control access
Choose Pause Duoble or Quit Duoble from the menu bar to stop the effect and screen capture. You can revoke Screen Recording access in System Settings → Privacy & Security. The manual preview does not require screen or sensor access.
Screen frames and lid readings are temporary and are released as capture and rendering stop. Duoble does not maintain a server-side copy to delete. Local preferences may remain in macOS app storage after you remove the app.
Support and policy updates
If you choose to contact support, the information you send is used to respond to your request. Please avoid including passwords or private screen content. You can ask for deletion of support correspondence through the support contact shown in the app.
Opening a support or privacy website uses your browser. Sending a support email uses your email provider. Those services may process connection or message information under their own policies.
If Duoble's privacy practices change, this policy and its update date will be revised.
Visiting this website
This policy describes the Duoble app and support. When you visit this website, the hosting service receives connection information, such as your IP address and the page requested, to deliver and protect the site. This is separate from the app’s local processing.
The website uses Cloudflare for hosting and traffic analytics. Cloudflare may process connection information and website usage or performance data. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy for details. This website service does not receive screen frames or lid readings from Duoble.
These Duoble pages do not include advertising, forms, or third-party fonts. Opening an external link is subject to that service’s privacy practices.
